# 998
Artist: Jerry Goodman
Title: It´s Alive
Year: 1988
This is an absolutely wonderful live album recorded live at the Park West in Jerry´s hometown of Chicago. It was released on the Private Music label in 1988.
In the late 80’s I found a compilation called The World of Private Music - Vol. 2 on which I found a lot of great music. One track which really caught my attention was “Lullaby for Joey” by this violinist called Jerry Goodman. I wanted to hear more and this live album was one of the first I found.
For those of you that really enjoy instrumental music you have to listen to this record. The interplay between the musicians is fantastic and the sound quality is perfect. Jerry Goodman plays tracks from his two studio albums, also released on Private Music, as well as some exclusive tracks for this album.
Both of his studio albums On the Future of Aviation and Ariel on Private Music are really good. But for anyone who wants a good start I would really recommend this live album.
