Do not let the cover on this album scare you away. The boys on this cover look hilarious but the music is really interesting! This is one of the first synth records I ever heard.
Behind the make up and funny hairdos you will find some really cool melodic synth music. On this album Hipnosis cover two legendary synth tracks, Oxygene by Jean Michel Jarre and Pulsar by Vangelis. The sound is kind of a cheesy 80s synth pop, sometimes labeled as spacesynth or italo disco.
They also manage to present some really nice original compositions which stands up nicely in comparison with the two heavy weight covers.
This is definitely an album worth checking out if you would like to hear some melodic synth music. It has not been released officially on CD, as far as I know, so I would suggest going for the vinyl release. They only released this one full length album in the golden year of 1984.
