A big happy 4th of July to the talanted guys in Dream Theater!
I just read in this mornings’ newspaper that their album “Black Clouds & Silver Linings” was the best selling record in Gothenburg, Sweden this week!
Nice to see that incredible and amazing music can be in the top of the charts instead of the usual commercial crap we always get.
I have listened to the album a little bit through the wonderful Spotify and if you like Dream Theater you will not be disappointed.
Of course the album was released in several different versions. There is a 3CD Limited Edition with a bunch of covers on one disc, Stargazer by Rainbow and To Tame a Land by Iron Maiden. Also in this version you will get the entire album in “instrumental mode”, maybe if you are into karaoke?
Do not get me wrong, I think it is a brilliant idea to include this, it must be one of the quickest and easiest way to provide a “bonus disc”? Just mute all the vocaltracks and you are done…
They even have the special edition available and on it you gwr some cool covers like Stargazer by Rainbow and To Tame a Land by Iron Maiden.
